R-W-C Policy (Research – Writing – Citation)

The International Journal of Educational Research and Innovation (IJERI) applies a comprehensive R-W-C Policy—Research, Writing, and Citation—to maintain high academic standards and ensure scholarly integrity in all published works.

1. Research

IJERI expects all submitted manuscripts to be grounded in sound and ethical research practices. Authors are required to:

  • Clearly define research problems, objectives, and methodologies.

  • Ensure data validity and reliability.

  • Comply with research ethics, including informed consent and ethical clearance (if applicable).

  • Avoid any form of data fabrication, falsification, or manipulation.

For empirical studies involving human subjects, authors must state that the study was approved by an appropriate ethics committee and that informed consent was obtained.

2. Writing

IJERI promotes clarity, coherence, and academic rigor in writing. Manuscripts should:

  • Be well-structured with clear argumentation, critical analysis, and logical flow.

  • Follow academic writing conventions, including objectivity and precision.

  • Be written in grammatically correct English (or Bahasa Indonesia, if applicable), free from excessive jargon or redundancy.

  • Be original and free from plagiarism (IJERI uses plagiarism detection tools, and similarity should not exceed 20%).

Authors are encouraged to revise their manuscripts thoroughly before submission and may be requested to improve language quality during the review process.

3. Citation

Proper citation is fundamental to academic integrity. Authors must:

  • Acknowledge all sources and ideas that are not their own.

  • Use consistent and accurate referencing following APA 7th edition style (or another journal-approved style).

  • Avoid excessive self-citation or citation manipulation.

  • Ensure that all references cited in-text are included in the reference list and vice versa.

IJERI encourages the use of recent and reputable academic sources, particularly from peer-reviewed journals and recognized publishers.
