Journal Business Model
The International Journal of Educational Research and Innovation (IJERI) operates under a fully open-access publishing model, ensuring that all published articles are freely accessible online to a global readership without subscription or paywall restrictions.
1. Open Access Policy
All articles in IJERI are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. This policy supports the principle of knowledge sharing and academic inclusivity.
2. Article Processing Charges (APCs)
To sustain high-quality editorial, peer-review, and publishing operations, IJERI applies a modest Article Processing Charge (APC) of:
-
IDR 300,000 (for authors based in Indonesia)
-
USD 25 (for international authors)
The APC is charged only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. There are no submission fees.
IJERI offers partial or full APC waivers for authors who:
-
Are students or independent researchers without institutional funding,
-
Reside in low-income or lower-middle-income countries (based on World Bank classification),
-
Demonstrate financial need.
Waiver requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and must be submitted during the manuscript review process.
3. Revenue and Sustainability Model
IJERI sustains its operations through:
-
Article Processing Charges (APCs)
-
Institutional and departmental support
-
Voluntary editorial and reviewer contributions
-
Occasional academic sponsorships or educational project partnerships
4. Editorial Independence
All editorial decisions are made solely based on academic merit, originality, and relevance, without influence from financial or commercial interests. IJERI adheres strictly to ethical guidelines provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
5. Long-Term Archiving and Indexing
IJERI ensures the long-term preservation and accessibility of all articles through partnerships with digital repositories, scholarly indexing services, and metadata registration with Crossref.
